See my dad was in the Navy...he happened to be stationed in the Philippines at the time. My mom was working at this camera shop I think when she was 18...then BAM. That was it. lol
well my dad n my uncle (mom's brother) were best friends and grew up together in jamaica so my ma n pa saw eachother alot n now dey been married 4 almost 35 years
My parents met through my Dad's older brother and my Mom's older sister, they are married. Actually it was their kids, my cousins, who introduced them. The rest is history.
My dad is from Houston and he had joined the Navy. He ended up stationed here, in Honolulu. My mom and her friends liked to go on the military bases to go to the clubs. She thought it was cool how everyone (mainly black people) moved in unison to the music. lol Anyway, on one of these visits to the club, she met my dad. There you have it. ^_^

My grand pa was having an NOI (nation of Islam) meeting at his house (when they were all into that kinda thing in the early 70s) and some of the members came for it and one was my dad. Anyway, that night my mum and grand pa had an argument over something (she wasn't in the meeting) and she stormed out (she was a teenager...). My grand pa was embarrassed and all the other men there thought she was rude, but my dad was intrigued by her and was attracted to her "spunk". and that's that.
