Do you choose one side of your family to identify with, or do you represent both sides equally?
Personally I try to ALWAYS acknowledge both sides of my heritage. I find it to be a dishonor to my mother if someone says "oh you just black". How do you guys feel about this subject?
I'm being as honest as I can be & I acknowledge all my sides. Black asian or Native or white. I'm proud to be what I am.
I celebrate Asian holidays and I celebrate Native American holidays

most of my family identify w/ black and don't know to much about the Asian (or any other) side. So, like Kawaii_baby, I have to educate myself about the Asian culures, and though I am happy to be mixed w/ Asian and identify with it as much as I can, I still feel like an outsider when it comes to the Asian community.
